My client is a well respected and highly successful market leader who is currently experiencing a continued period of growth and success. Due to an ever increasing workload, they are currently looking to recruit Senior Mechanical Drawing Technician to be based out of their impressive operations in Rochester, Kent. The role is for an initial 6 months and is paying £26.94 per hour Ltd.

Job Description
A Senior Mechanical Drawing Technician will be responsible to work alongside Mechanical Engineers to produce 3D CAD Data and Engineering Drawings for components and assemblies using Pro-Engineer in accordance with applicable industry, customer and internal standards, and to release drawings, design data, and associated change notices through the TeamCenter PDM system.
The suitable candidate should hold a HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant discipline and be capable of applying engineering theory and practice to the drawings and design data being prepared, including the application of GD&T dimensioning methods, and datums and dimensions considering design intent, manufacturability and inspection capabilities.
Experience with BS8888 and ASME Y14.100 drawing standards is required along with proficiency in the use of ProENGINEER Creo Element/Pro 5.0 and PDM-Link. Experience with Teamcenter is also desirable.
Additional Information
Experience of preparing technical component and assembly drawings for the Aerospace Industry is desirable.
The role will include taking CAD models produced by Mechanical Engineers and developing these into fully dimensioned production drawings.
