Description
As part of the Design Architecture Unit within this government organisation, provide:
- Subject matter expertise and strategic support for the development of the department's enterprise architecture; and
- Support the planning and delivery of the organisation's ICT systems across the enterprise.
Duties:
- Contribute to the development of the ICT enterprise architecture and related ICT capability systems
- Support the development and validation of requirements for ICT projects
- Developing ICT System Function and Performance Specifications, Concept of Operations and High Level Architecture/Design documents
- Preparing architecture and high level design development for ICT systems;
- Producing (or contributing to) roadmaps and recommendations related to ICT investments and system development life cycles
- Producing (or contributing to) briefing papers for department's executives;
- Supporting the architectural governance processes to ensure that ICT systems align to the enterprise architecture and business requirements
- Undertaking business analysis and business requirements elicitation activities;
- Conducting research and analytical tasks related to potential investment initiatives and business/technical problems
- Working with business divisions and key agency contacts to prioritise investments in the organisation's ICT Department.
Skills:
- Experience in one or more of the following domains:
- Business architecture
- Applications architecture
- Information architecture
- Computing and storage system architecture
- Network architecture
- Multimedia system/applications architecture (telephony, video, CTI, etc)
- Gateway system architecture
- Mobile system architecture
- Experience in designing systems to handle national classified material and strong understanding of the PSPF and ISM
- Understanding of multi-domain access and cross-domain system architecture
- Proven record of providing system architectural leadership
- Demonstrated strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues in a simple way which can be understood by non-technical personnel
- Strong client service skills
