An excellent opportunity has arisen to work for a leading Utilities Organisation as a Management Accountant in the Client's Business support team.

Title: Management Accountant
Location: Warwick
Rates: Competitive

Role Purpose:
To provide comprehensive financial support for one or more business functions or companies ensuring appropriate financial control, with particular emphasis on timely, accurate, complete and appropriate business planning, budgeting and forecasting, monthly financial reporting and inputs to the month end accounting process.

Essential and Desirable experience
*Strong financial, management and/or project accounting skills including significant experience of budgeting & forecasting & financial performance reporting
*Communicating with and influencing Senior Managers and Directors
*Dealing with and resolving ad hoc queries
*Advanced knowledge of accounting systems/packages including BI, MySap, and Hyperion/BCP/Bobj.
*Advanced user of Excel, intermediate user of MS Office including PPT, Word and SharePoint

Accountabilities:
*Support Finance Business Partner and Level 4 and 5 business managers as required, providing inter alia financial analysis and evaluation on behalf of business managers, business partners and finance teams and dealing with ad-hoc requests in order to support achievement of the business unit's objectives.
*Undertake the month end process, ensuring the data used is consistent and accurate, the appropriateness of all inputs and outputs (such as journals and reports) and ensuring costs are allocated correctly to appropriate Forms of Control. Support internal and external audits as required.
*Operate, maintain and develop, where appropriate, planning, budgeting and forecasting models, ensuring assumptions, forecasts and reporting are appropriate in order to deliver robust financial management.
*Produce financial reports, including Flash reports, the "blue book" monthly reports, RRP reports and reports for Investor Relations, ensuring reporting is timely and accurate.
*Support the Business Support Finance Manager establishing, maintaining and monitoring the financial control framework, ensuring adherence to internal and Sarbanes-Oxley key controls.
*Support the delivery of robust risk management for the business unit(s), identifying and quantifying risks and opportunities and maintaining a finance risk register.
