VM Ware Admin, VM Ware ESX, vSphere, Site Recovery Manager.
We have a Contract opportunity for a VMware expert in Cairo, Egypt to start early August.
The candidate should have many years of experience in VMware ESX and SRM and should be Egyptian or if not an Arabic speaking.
The contract should last 12-24 months and the key skills are VM Ware ESX, vSphere, Site Recovery Manager.
Manage and Operate VMware Infrastructure
ø Manages the day to day operational management and administration of the VMware Virtual Infrastructure environment:
o VMware vCenter
o VMware vSphere
o VMware ESX Servers
o VMware virtual machines
o Site Recovery Manager (SRM)
ø Take care of problem management activities, including initiating contact with EMC Customer Support
ø Participate in DR testing supporting SRM environment
ø Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews (when applicable)
Monitor Installed VMware Infrastructure
ø Review the VMware environment periodically
ø Monitoring of VMware performance data for the optimization of the environment
ø Monitor the VMware infrastructure utilization
ø Participate in capacity planning activities
Documentation and Knowledge Transfer
ø Maintain installed VMware solution configuration documentation
ø Assists with documentation of policies and procedures.
ø Reviewing the VMware configuration and utilization with Customer on regular basis
ø Provide VMware management experience to augment current configuration with customer staff
ø Provides operational best-practice documentation.
ø Provides onsite best-practice and product-knowledge transfer.
Proactive Support
ø Generate regular operational performance reports using available performance data collection tools
ø Generate reports using customer provided VMware tools
ø Provides architectural and infrastructure improvement recommendations based on Customer's environment best practices.
ø Conduct review meetings with the customer discussing reports and documentation
