You will be part of the Mortgage Acquisitions team who is responsible for the development, testing, implementation and maintenance of acquisition strategies including risk reward framework cut-offs, fraud and credit abuse prevention, affordability assessment, scorecard development and analysis for the Business.

The purpose of the role or a Credit Risk Analyst is to provide real insight into the key drivers of credit performance.

To qualify for this role you must have the following skill profile:

- Degree in a numerate subject, preferably at a postgraduate level, and preferably in a relevant subject (maths, statistics, operational research, economics)

- Experience in credit risk analytics.
- Knowledge of modern risk management techniques within Retail Banking, and in the use of risk models within such an environment.

- Experienced and competent in the use of statistical packages (including dealing with large datasets) and model development environments. SAS/SPSS

- Experienced in the extraction and manipulation of data to support portfolio model development, including macro economic modelling, Basel requirements of stress testing for credit models and /or portfolio evolution.

- Proven ability to work without the need for close supervision, and in a team environment, supporting other team players as well as guiding others where needed while showing empathy.
