Regulatory Compliance Executive - Top European Bank - London

A leading European bank in the city ofLondonis seeking a compliance professional with extensive experience in wholesale banking and a broad understanding of FCA/PRA rules and regulatory requirements as they apply for a Corporate and Investment banking business. Reporting to senior management, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a framework to identify regulatory developments on the horizon which will impact the bank and perform impact analyses of these developments and overseeing the bank's response to them.

  • Maintain a detailed working knowledge of FCA/PRA rules and regulations and a broad awareness of AMF, ACP and other regulatory and exchange rules and regulations that impact inUK.
  • Liaise with working groups which are tracking European and other global regulatory developments to ensure that the banks considerations are taken into account communicating relevant impacts to UK Compliance and senior management
  • Attend relevant compliance, regulatory and industry forums within the city as necessary to keep current with regulatory change.
  • Develop the framework necessary to identify regulatory change impacting business activities and strategy and then translate the outputs into appropriate compliance initiatives for change as appropriate.
  • Perform and communicate to compliance and management impact analyses of actual and forthcoming regulatory changes and developments.
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with the Compliance Advisory and Monitoring teams and ensure that the impacts of regulatory developments are actioned within monitoring, projects and training and ensure that policies and kept up to date
  • Communicate to senior management and the Compliance Business Advisory, the updates which the business must implement to their policies to reflect regulatory change.
  • Assist with the preparation of the bank's response to specific regulatory investigations and requests for information.
  • Coordinate Regulatory Investigations and assist with the management of any Section 166s which may occur

  • Strong regulatory knowledge with excellent understanding of PRA and FCA concerns and compliance best practice.
  • A proven track record of delivering initiatives and regulatory change within a wholesale investment bank.
  • Proven track record of providing reports to or for theUKregulator and with the strong competence and regulatory skills needed to be able to liaise comfortably with the regulatory directly or indirectly.
  • Compliance expertise and ability to articulate prudential and conduct risk issues both verbally and in written reports and so exemplary communication, presenting and interpersonal skills are essential.

Salary £75,000 to £85,000
