POSITION SUMMARY
Leads and manages projects in order to accomplish measurable business improvements. Employs lean methodology in order to accomplish business objectives.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY
Takes responsibility for driving change to the business and promoting the practical application of project management and lean methodologies. Required to lead projects and initiatives with broad scope and high impact and cost reduction to the business. Responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications. This role contributes to the overall strategy and manages complex issues within functional areas of expertise and change management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Leads cross-team projects to drive standardization, stability, and simplification in processes. This includes providing change leadership methods and tools across assigned critical business initiatives
- Identify opportunities to Lean and simplify processes for sustained productivity gains, cost reduction, and customer impact.
- Act as a change agent, systematically driving continuous improvement and change throughout the business, setting the pace of change to grow the business and make it more efficient.
- Present ideas, thoughts, and projects to senior management and get support on projects and serves as a recognized expert and resource leader for process focus areas
- Develop rigorous control plans; working closely with process owners, project champions, and Sr. Leadership Team to provide leadership and direction on the implementation of lean strategies and processes and ensure improvement gains are sustained on a long-term basis
- Facilitates workout sessions, value stream mapping sessions and activities to achieve project objectives.
- Effectively work with teams that involve cross-functional members
Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Lean principles
- Knowledge of business processes, waste reduction, cost reduction, transformation and other techniques for optimizing processes
- Knowledge of project management practices and processes
- Knowledge of team leadership and team building including team dynamics.
