Job DescriptionWe’re on the look-out for a Senior PHP Developer to come in and take the lead on a number of projects and generally keep things ticking over on the dev side.
Working from home you will be a highly motivated and experienced developer with excellent communication abilities and a track record of successful projects longer than your arm.
You'll be evangelical about automated testing and you're always keen to try out new technologies to keep at the cutting edge. You're well versed with deployment strategies including mlti-server environments.
You've probably got a blog and are likely to have spoken publically to your peers about your profession.
Did we mention the working from home bit?
Siftware does not have an office.
We did for years, but we got rid of it a while back as there didn't seem to be much point. We’ll supply you with some hardware (or a budget towards if you just want to augment what you alreayd have, a nice big second/thrid screen perhaps?) and a Herman Miller Aeron chair. You supply the internet connection, a desk and a dedicated space with a closable door - a kitchen table and 3 kids at home doesn't work, trust us.
You will be expected to come up towards Shropshire once or twice a month depending upon workload so, as long as you’re not too far away, your location isn't that important; we’re thinking Bath, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Manchester or Liverpool as likely bases for you.
In all other respects this is a normal permanent role. You will be PAYE & have holiday entitlements. It’s a perfect opportunity for someone looking to focus a bit more on their quality of life without having to find a bunch of clients and go freelance.
Salary to £40k, depending upon experience.
