Software Engineer (Java, C++) - North West - £30-35 per hourI have a project opportunity for an experience Software Engineer to work on an initial 3 month project for a stand out organisation in the North West.
The role will involve working in the System Design Division which specialize within Hardware and Software Debug Solutions which include C/C++ Compilers, assemblers, GUI debuggers, instruction set simulators, development boards and hardware debugging systems.
The successful candidate will be tasked with creating new Java/SWT implementations of existing tools written in C/C++ along with other migration tasks.
Personal Requirements
Relevant degree
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, flexible, with strong inter-personal skills
Demonstrable ability to work well in a team
Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
Essential
Ability to read and Understand C/C++ code and interface Java to it
Expert programmer in Java
Experience of the Eclipse IDE and Eclipse SDK
Proven ability to produce quality GUI solutions using Java and the SWT
Experience of network programming
Experience of using JNI to interface to work with native code
Desirable
Experience of ARM debug and trace architectures and tools
