Electronics Engineer/Electronics Design Engineer/Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Birmingham

Contract: 6 months

Rate: Negotiable

The Company:

A leading aerospace client, specialising in the design, development and manufacture of electronic control systems for aero gas turbine engines.

The role:

As a key member of the electronics team, the electronics engineer will have technical responsibility for assigned work packages, through his/her manager, to assure the electronic design meets its performance requirements through analysis and test, satisfying the appropriate airworthiness requirements. This will involve the co-ordination of specialist in the field of EMC, components, thermal, vibration and material for design support, analysis and assurance testing of the product.

The Candidate:

Degree qualified in electronic engineering or related discipline, Ideally the candidate shall have at least 2 years design experience, and be capable of achieving Chartered Engineer status. Technical knowledge of both analogue and digital circuit techniques as well as knowledge of the latest electronic packaging design techniques to meet aerospace installation and certification requirements, a thorough understanding of environmental requirements and their effects on the design.

Ideally you will be familiar with manufacturing process capabilities to meet design for assembly (DFA) and design for manufacture (DFM) requirements, but this is not essential for the role. The role also demands a high degree of self-management with good interpersonal skills and be capable of effectively interfacing with the customer.
