THE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Systems Engineer (Citrix) you will:
- Provide operational support of customer Servers including proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and performing standard and non-standard changes
- Identify inefficient procedures or processes and suggest improvements
- Ensure that skills are maintained and enhanced in "specialist" area(s) relating to product knowledge, services knowledge, or industry knowledge
- Provide possible services sales leads, informing customers of new or updated products and services
- Produce accurate, concise and timely reports as required
- Supervise the activities of a small team as required
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
As the ideal candidate you will be able to demonstrate:
- Extensive knowledge of Citrix Technologies, primarily XenApp
- Proven experience in a server administration role, preferably with IT outsourcing
- Good working knowledge and understanding of Windows Active Directory, DHCP, DNS
- Good working knowledge of networking and TCP/IP
- Broad level of knowledge of Enterprise applications including IIS, Web filters, SQL, ISA, Mail filters, Proxy Servers and clustering
- Experience with Management & Monitoring tools eg CA TNG
- Ability to plan, generate, install, or repair a system or major sub-system
- A solid understanding and adherence to the ITIL framework
- Citrix certification
