Fibre/Fiber Planning & Architecture Engineer - DSL, XDSL, ADSL, VDSL, SDSL
A leading broadband & mobile telecoms service provider based in Brussels (Bruxells) are searching for a Fiber/Fibre Planning & Architecture Engineer to define fiber/fibre network footprint evolution plans, scope of work and associated budgets related to city rings. The Fiber/Fibre Planning & Architecture Engineer will define fiber/Fibre network architecture and topology. The Fiber/Fibre Planning & Architecture Engineer will also conduct a network audit on the existing fiber/Fibre - DSL, XDSL, ADSL, VDSL, SDSL network, verify data consistency and conformity to fiber/fibre deployment guidelines.
Key accountabilities:
- Acts as fiber/fibre planner & architect for all fiber/fibre related projects within the company
- Define Fiber/fibre network architecture, topology
- Realize HLD, LLD, budgeting, scope of work for all fiber/fibre - DSL, XDSL, ADSL, VDSL, SDSL projects
- Prioritization of different projects in order to have timely delivery
- Reporting and communication to line manager & Directors
- Manages Fiber/fibre - XDSL, DSL. ADSL, VDSL. SDSL connectivity databases: responsible for fiber/fibre databases reliability & update
- Define future use of fiber fibre network (new technologies watch and study integration into current network)
Essential skills:
- At least 5 years of experience in fiber/fibre planning or fiber/fibre build projects (XDSL, DSL, ADSL, VDSL, SDSL)
- Very good planning & organisation skills needed for interaction with internal client
- Able to handle the complexity of a cross-domain projects
- Good administration skills for reporting to manager on regular base
- Knowledge of basic office software programs is a must, good knowledge of AutoCad software is needed.
