Project Manager in Procurement/Finance

Our prestigious client currently recruits for a Project Manager in Procurement/Finance for a contract in Brussels.
For this role you will work within Group Services, which is part of the IT-department (ITS). The mission of Group Services is to provide the business partners (Finance, Risk, HR, securities, lending) with efficient solutions to support their current and future daily activities
You will work within the Solution Delivery Team HR & Procurement (change team)
You will report directly to the team manager of the dept
You will start with the implementation of a global E-procurement solution

(Size: > 1500 man-days for the Belgian part, duration: preparation + 1 year implementation).

Job description
Your responsibilities are as follows :

Delivery on time, on budget and on scope of the requirements.
You will put in place and maintain an integrated planning at all times.
Vendor/Supplier management: Management and coordination of an off shore development work package. You will closely work together with the assigned supplier project manager on site in order to keep a clear view on scope, progress, milestones and possible risk & issues.
Coordination of the delivery of all documents as from initiation of the project (eg project PID and Solution Architecture a.o.).
Compliance with the project governance throughout the project life cycle.
Leading, Coordination and people management of a cross functional project team of experts. You will pro actively manage resource capacity in order to deliver within proposed planning.
Sample of departments involved: Procurement Dept (business project management, delivery of requirements), ITS account management, Architects, Technical team, Testers team, Service (run) team, Architecture.
Reporting: In alignment with the business program manager, you will produce and defend regular project status reports to the attention of your manager, the sponsor (global chief procurement officer) and the project steering committee.

Your profile

Knowledge and experience
You are familiar with the financial and/or procurement world. Functional coverage: source-to-contract and request-to-pay + integrated reporting environment
You have experience in the management of multi country implementations.
You have experience in the implementation of SaaS solutions
Your technical background can be applied to various environments.
Experience with working with external providers (work package mode), experience with multiple sourcing partners in the same project is a plus.
Ideally you have min 5y experience with the Finance/procurement domain as a project manager
You speak English fluently; knowledge of French and Dutch is a plus.
You are familiar with formal project methodologies (preferably PRINCE2)
