Geoscience Technician IILocation: Midland, TX
My client is an independent energy company that explores for, develops, and produces natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids.
My client was formed with the simple concept of becoming a significant and profitable oil company. They have grown, through the determination of their people, to become one of the world's top independent oil and gas exploration and production companies.
They are aggressively looking for a Geosience Technician II to join their Permian Team.
Position Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Perform geologic and limited engineering technical support on multiple projects across the Permian Region
- Leads data manipulation for geologic studies and activities in unconventional and conventional Resource Play evaluation (subsurface and commercial)
- Processes ArcGIS expertise to build a database of all UCR plays that are currently being evaluated and explored in (war maps)
- Develop a solid working relationship with engineers, G&G, Land personnel within Apache
Preferred Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of oil and gas experience preferred
- Must be proficient with Petra, PetraSeis, ArcGIS, Petrel, and Landmark
- Self-Starter with the ability to do Database creation and management
- Understanding of all data types (seismic, well log, deviation surveys)
- Ability to work well within an integrated multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to communicate information and evaluations (written and oral)
- Good business acumen, personal ethics, and integrity above reproach
