Computer Futures are looking for a Infrastructure Analyst to join a key client based in Cirencester. You will be responsible for the administration of locally based windows/linux servers; some remotely based other locations and providing 3rd line support for Service Desk issues. Primarily the role will cover server lifecycle management, monitoring, fault finding and repair though some networking knowledge is important to visualise how the systems collaborate.As well as operational duties there will be some project work as well as participation in regional tasks and activities.
Role Responsibilities
- Server Lifecycle (Purchasing, installation, maintenance, disposal)
- Fault finding and fixing problems within Service Level Agreements
- Architecting hardware and operating solutions for bespoke site-based projects
- Ensure regular and effective backups of company data
- Low level project management
- Adhere to corporate standards
Key Skills
Essential:
- Fluent English
- Microsoft Windows Server® technology experience ( preferably certified )
- Good self management and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of Linux Administration
- Understanding of ITIL v3
Desirable:
- VMWare Hypervisor/vSphere
- VBScript
- ITIL Foundation or higher
- ISCSI and Dell Storage Technologies
- Symantec BackupExec®
- CCNA, CCNP
