The MAI Engineering I&KM Capability has been identified as a critical capability for the future MAI
Business and development of this capability is required to support our Availability Service, Export and
Information System Product Strategies. In order to address this, a multi year internal capability investment programme addressing key product information management requirements has been put in place.
In order to develop and deploy an integrated set of I&KM Capability improvements in support of the MAI
Product Strategies there is a need to establish a Senior Engineer Role focussed on Data & Information
Management and Process and Toolset Management with a focus on the MAI Product Availability Service and Engineering Capability Management.
The Senior Systems Engineer will, as part of an integrated cross functional team, Manage Business Process & Toolset Change Requirements, Manage Data Requirements, develop components of the Information Architecture, conduct Value Stream Analysis to identify waste in the "as-is" data flow and propose & lead implementation of associated improvements, work with the applicable process and toolset owners to implement the changes required by the future Maintenance Solution. In addition this role will ensure that the delivered improvements are integrated with other related Enterprise Capabilities.

Responsibilities
The role activties include:
Configuration Management (CM) Training Support - Support the Vendor in gathering data and organising the review of material from within MAI.
Configuration Management (CM)/Data Management (DM) Governance Support - Support the development of the generic CM process and DM Framework by producing:
Process Descriptions
Work Instructions and guides
CM/DMTemplates
Analysis of Engineering process and configuration - Strong skills in both these areas are a neccesity for this roll
Assist in the development of the MAI Engineering route map template
Generation of routremaps for key MAI engineering toolsets, including the agreement of this output with Key Engineering Stakeholders.
Prosecution of Engineering toolset/process benefit opportunities in MAI Engineering
The Individual
A good systems engineering background with a reasonable understanding of Configuration Management (CM). Good communication skills and the ability to synthesise information and produce quality outputs.
A reasonable understanding of Configuration Management (CM) and the ability to communicate requirements (data requests) to stakeholders and assist in the synthesis of data.
Must be a team worker
An ideal candidate would have:
Spent time in a variety of engineering roles with strong Data & Information Management threads.
Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Operations and Data & Information Management in this context
Knowledge/Experience of Procurement, Manufacturing and In Service Processes is also highly desirable.
