Role OutlineThis role, working within the Software Development Team and reporting to the Software Engineering Manager is for a motivated software engineer to develop embedded software functionality in C for an instrument pack, the principal driver information instrument. Key Applicant Requirements
- Capture and interpretation of customer specifications
- High level design & Functional design
- Embedded Coding
- Creation and adaptation of preexisting module tests and Module Testing
- Requirement, Code and Test Reviews
- Basic hardware/software interaction debug
- 5 years' solid experience developing high quality Embedded C, or Embedded C++, with ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Automotive protocol experience such as CAN
- Use of tools such as CANoe
- Understanding of 'low-level' software for embedded applications, ideally for 16/32-bit microcontrollers
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced working environment
- Team player, with motivation and enthusiasm to deliver projects on time with quality
- A degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline is essential.
Advantage
- Knowledge and practice of automotive SPICE
- Familiarity with Fujitsu Microcontrollers
- Display technologies including LCD, LED, TFT and stepper motor drivers
- Previous experience of RTC, MKS, Mantis and Subversion
