Role Outline

This role, working within the Software Development Team and reporting to the Software Engineering Manager is for a motivated software engineer to develop embedded software functionality in C for an instrument pack, the principal driver information instrument. Key Applicant Requirements

  • Capture and interpretation of customer specifications
  • High level design & Functional design
  • Embedded Coding
  • Creation and adaptation of preexisting module tests and Module Testing
  • Requirement, Code and Test Reviews
  • Basic hardware/software interaction debug
  • 5 years' solid experience developing high quality Embedded C, or Embedded C++, with ability to work with a minimum of supervision
  • Automotive protocol experience such as CAN
  • Use of tools such as CANoe
  • Understanding of 'low-level' software for embedded applications, ideally for 16/32-bit microcontrollers
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Flexibility to adapt in a fast paced working environment
  • Team player, with motivation and enthusiasm to deliver projects on time with quality
  • A degree in Computer Science or relevant Engineering discipline is essential.

Advantage
  • Knowledge and practice of automotive SPICE
  • Familiarity with Fujitsu Microcontrollers
  • Display technologies including LCD, LED, TFT and stepper motor drivers
  • Previous experience of RTC, MKS, Mantis and Subversion
