Senior Tester(s) - Telecom Mediation

Profs4U is looking for a Sr Tester(s) - Telecom Mediation for a client in the Netherlands,
Contract period of 5 months +, Work location: Utrecht
Starting ASAP. 36 hours per week,
Hour rate between 52-55 euro, ex vat,

The test specialist (TS) is responsible for the following tasks:
- Reporting towards the Test Coordinator (TC) on progress
- Performing technical reviews the Offshore partner and internal teams under witness testing
- Analyzing the functional specs
- Creating testscenarios & testcases
- Executing test activities and judge the results.
- Controlling testproducts
- Contributing and supplying input for the detailed test plan
- Reporting on progress, issues and quality towards the TC
- Assessing specialist documentation for testability (completeness and consistency).
- Creating test scenarios with associated file situations, expected results and execution instructions.
- Performing (automated) tests and logging findings and results.
- Analyzing and assessing the test results and takes corrective actions if necessary.
- Administering the test ware within the team, both manual and automated testing.
- After the project, he/she ensures all test products are available for subsequent releases and patches.
- Establishing and improving of the test process and test infrastructure.

Test Engineer Profile:

- Minimum 3+ years of experience in Software testing with sound understanding of telecom OSS/BSS domain
- Hands on experience with testing mediation (Comptel Convergent EventLink version 6+)
- Ability to create & review test cases for testing mediation solutions
- Ability to execute test cases in multiple test environments
- Knowledge of defect tracking tools like Jira etc.
- Ability to execute test cases on multiple environments and interact with test coordinator and development teams for end to end tracking and closing of defects
- Advising on test strategy and test design techniques
- Coaching and guiding testers and users
- At least HBO working and thinking level
- Certified TMap NEXT ® Test Engineer or ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst
- Demonstrated experience with various methods such as linear development method, Test Driven Development and iterative processes as Scrum
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management methods. Eg Prince2 Foundation certified
- Demonstrated experience with service-oriented architectures and Telecom infrastructure, particularly around Mediation processes
- knowledge of one or more of the following aspects:
Rating & Billing Management, Mediation, Collecting, EDW Reports, XML, SOAP, SQL, Jira, GreenHat

- Supporting and advising the test coordinator or test manager at the test strategy to follow
- Experience in dealing with external System Integrator as part of the implementation process
- You have good communication and social skills and are a team player
- Software testing certifications is a plus
- Ability to manage stress/changes coming during execution of project
- Experience in the application of at least 3 specification techniques.
- Experience working with automated testing tools
- Experience in drafting checklists on behalf of keys users
- Knowledge and experience of working with the Extended ISO 9126 Model
