Description

A little about us...
Live your dream, wear your passion. Created in 2012 we are a collective of talented individuals from the tech, design, brand and music industries working together to leverage the opportunity of the interest web. We make tools and products to solve our niggles with the web and business.

We create our own products that help companies generate sustainable commerce from digital products and communities.

Our first of which is Iam150/ Your interest network http://iam150.com/. Allowing members to indulge and share in their interests within closed groups with up to 149 others. We ensure members are joined by only the right people for any of their particular passions, and enable them to share, discuss, organise and experience in an environment in which brands add to the experience, rather than detract from it.

A little about you…
We are more interested in finding the person with the right attitude, rather than just the right skill set for this role. If you are someone who loves coding, hacking, technology and sometimes find yourself still hacking away at 3am without realising the time, then you're the kind of person we want to talk to!

We want someone who is a real thinker, is passionate about their work and genuinely loves what they do. User experience and visual design are very important to us, and as such we are looking for someone who has great attention to detail and takes pride in their delivery.

You should be inquisitive, eager to learn; as well as to teach, know when to kick back and have a laugh, and when to dig deep to ensure milestones are met.

What you'll be doing:
As you no doubt already know, when working on a product everyone wears many hats. The types of things we imagine you'll be working on are -
• Constantly seeking out and implementing the latest technologies to define the path of the product
• Taking on end-to-end ownership of the product on a day-to-day basis
• Rapidly building prototypes to prove/disprove the teams assumptions
• Working on new features and design iterations
• Integrating with exciting new third party tools
• Iteratively working with the team to refine product vision
• Actively informing product decisions based on your experience and understanding of product usage
• Make effective design/UX decisions
• Using our product as much as our users are!

What experience have you gained in the past?
Consider this a basis for discussion, rather than a requirements checklist.
• Knowledge of Javascript (including jQuery), HTML5 and CSS3, SASS
• Understanding of well tested code and deployment
• Knowledge of the browser market and its changing pace
• An eye for detail, both in your code and in the browser
• Common sense when it comes to User Interfaces and User Experience
• Working effectively in a team, and on your own
• Ability to work in a lean environment (we don't just talk it, we actually do it!)
• Rapidly built prototypes to prove/disprove concepts and assumptions

Any of the following will also really help grab our attention…
• An eye, and appreciation, for good design
• Passionate about writing, blogging and speaking at events/tech conferences
• Experience with Nodejs, MongoDB
• Experience of working in a fast-paced startup environment
• Excited by analytics, metrics, Lean methodologies and continual learning

Oh yeah, there are some pretty awesome benefits as well…
We are at the beginning of a very interesting, fun and challenging journey. We have lofty ambitions and will ensure everyone who helps us get there shares in the spoils it brings. To achieve and share in the success from this, we work and act in a way thats simple and honest, reliable and effective, impactful and rewarding for effort.

We hold regular hack weekends in amazing venues, weekly socials (actual fun, not forced fun!), invest in personal development and we utilise our contacts to provide our collective with access to money can't buy events and experiences. Some of the team just flew out to Lisbon for The XX show in a castle on the beach upon successfully delivering our major re-design, and we have a few rock star style trips away to hack and hawking our wares planned already.
