Description

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain databases supporting basic reservoir engineering data and well performance
  • Gather data for reservoir surveillance, volumetric calculations and production history matching
  • Collaborate with other technicians to support preparation, execution and follow-up for reservoir analyses and well reviews
  • Collaborate with other technicians to gather and manage data of new wells for pre and post-performance analyses
  • Perform basic decline curve analysis for forecasting, type well analysis, and documentation of decline parameters for various reservoirs
  • Gather and populate information in rate transient analysis models for engineering evaluations
  • Assist Engineering staff with data management and integration support of pertinent files
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task to meet a wide range of demands from engineers
  • Must be organized and driven to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to recognize where added value could be achieved or efficiencies improved and reports to team accordingly
  • Must be able to work with multiple teams and departments
  • Must be able to develop economic models for single well and full field development
  • Additional special projects and duties as directed by management


Knowledge & Skills:
  • Knowledge of technical practices and principles related to compiling and reporting from reserve databases
  • Economic modeling
  • Proficient in PHDWin, ARIES, IHS, DrillingInfo, PETRA/ArcGIS, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
  • Strong presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills


Education, Experience & Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, required; Associates degree in technical discipline, preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant reservoir engineering tech experience in upstream oil & gas industry, required
  • Excellent computer skills and familiarity with oil/gas industry tools and databases preferred
  • Experience with MS Office software, required
  • Occasional travel to site locations to gather data and participate in reviews
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
