POSITION DETAILS
GTN Technical Staffing is searching for an IT Business Analyst with impeccable communication and business analyst soft skills. The BA will be the liaison between IT and business units to identify and scope business opportunities in order to help craft a solution that will meet the functional needs of our client. This role will work with business units to help define and document functional requirements and facilitate the translation of functional requirements into technical requirements for IT teams. The BA must be detail-oriented and have experience working multiple full-cycle SDLCs, as they will be the in charge of eliciting, driving, organizing, and tracking requirements throughout projects. The BA will participate in the development and execution of training, as well as coordination of UAT and system testing. The BA will also participate in issue resolution, change control management, and risk mitigation activities. Our client has several small and small initiatives the BA will assist with. The BA will be following a very structured PPM centric project life cycle which includes projects that are being managed with RAD and Agile methodologies, this role will support software development and integration of applications designed by a third party resources, as well as participate in the customization of off-the-shelf software to meet business requirements. This role will be very business focused, translating business needs into technical solutions.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience in the following skill sets
- Functional Business Analysis
- Requirements Gathering/Analysis
- Create Functional/Technical Specifications
- Effective Communication (Verbal/Written) of Project Statuses/Updates/Timeframes/Deadlines, etc. with all Levels of Management/Team Members is a MUST!
- Off-the-Shelf Software Analysis
- Customization/Defining Technical Requirements
- SCLC - Full Lifecycle Project/Management/Delivery
- Coordinate/Participate Design/Test Activities
- Application Development Methodologies
- RAD - Rapid Application Development
- SCRUM/Agile Methodology Development
- Microsoft Office Suite Expert - PowerPoint/Visio/Excel/Word, etc.
- Oil & Gas Industry - MUST possess previous Business Analysis within an Oil & Gas Company
PREFERRED (but not required)
- SQL/T-SQL (Ground-Up/Modifications) Scripting
