Civil Engineering Project Manager
Our client is looking to appoint a Civil Engineering Project Manager to be responsible for the safe delivery of visual, detailed and assessment examination for Structures (under bridges, over bridges, viaducts, tunnels, culverts and coastal defence), Operational Property (franchised stations, managed stations, lineside buildings, and depots) and Earthworks (embankments and cuttings).
The Civil Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for a team of two Scheme Projects Managers and a key responsibility for the role is ensuring that robust plans are in place to deliver enabling works to facilitate the examinations which include directly managing de-vegetation, liaising with the Routes Minor Works Contractors, and working closely with the route to resolve access issues.
The Civil Engineering Project Manager will have the following Essential Skills and Experience:
*Relevant successful experience in project management
*Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
*Detailed knowledge of safety regulations (particularly CDM)
*Team leader capable of motivating the team
*Commercial and financial understanding and knowledge
*Accident Investigation experience
Desirable:
*Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body
*Six Sigma Yellow Belt
*A degree or equivalent
*Knowledge of investment processes and procedures
*Knowledge and understanding of project and contract management
