Description
This position is responsible for the verification and validation of functionality for the Legacy systems and third party applications. The test analyst works closely with developers, end users and business analysts in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment. Because of these close partnerships, candidates must exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess a high degree of professionalism and customer service. Also required is the ability to reason logically, and to bring a thoughtful, analytical approach to all phases of the testing process. These skills are necessary to construct productive test scenarios from business requirements, to execute the resultant test cases, and to provide a meaningful evaluation of the results. The test analyst must also have the ability to partner with the developers in order to troubleshoot and resolve issues, and to answer questions from members of the business community.
Required Experience:
- 5 years as a QA Tester
- Retail industry experience
- Experience with SDLC and testing applications based in different environments including Client Server and web based applications to include J2EE, Oracle ad Linux
- Database knowledge to include Oracle, SQL Server and Access
- Strong browser experience: IE, Netscape Navigator, Fire Fox, Safari
