REQUIREMENTS
  • Practical knowledge of bio-chemical manufacturing facility operation and maintenance.
  • Practical knowledge of equipment maintenance, operation, calibration, control and cleaning for manufacturing process equipment, plant utility equipment, lab and support equipment.
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership, developmental, critical analysis, and performance appraisal skills.
  • Experience in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs as they relate to maintenance operations and documentation.


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide organization, communication, oversight, leadership, and administration of internal and external programs and processes, e.g. Document change management (System Operation SOPs, Maintenance Strategies and Work Instructions, Recommended Practices), follow up Discrepancies, Corrective Actions, CR Assessments, Change Requests, etc..
  • Establish and sustain clear communications with internal departments locally, and across the network, as well as with external contractors, vendors and service providers.
  • Prepare and organize technical documentation including, but not limited to: Process Equipment/System User Requirements (URS), Calibration Procedures and Data Templates, Preventive Maintenance Procedures (PM), Operation/Cleaning Procedures (O&C), and Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's).
  • Facilitate necessary training and instruction for Maintenance Operations in the proper execution of relevant programs and processes.
  • Provide fault diagnosis and troubleshooting expertise in the field, applying basic theories and principles of maintenance & calibration to address routine problems.
  • Provide specialized expertise for the continual improvement of maintenance operations, systems, methods, and technologies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in equipment and/or facility maintenance and operation.
  • BS/BA/AS/AA degree with substantial relevant on-the-job training and experience in a similar role preferred.


For AS/AA, more years of direct experience will be necessary.

A typical candidate might have an Operations background, or Facility, Facility Engineering, Process Engineering, etc.
