EDT Global are working with a reputable organisation that are currently looking to engage and experience Systems Engineer that has in-depth Linux and Networking knowledge for this immediate 6 month contract role.
MUST HAVE SECURITY CLEARANCE
MUST BE AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN
Below is a brief on what type of experience we are looking for:
Extensive experience with Linux (Certification in Linux is preferred) operating systems and x86 architectures
Solid understanding of TCP/IP and Internet technologies such as HTTP/S, SMTP, NTP, DNS, SSH, SFTP and Proxy services in an open source environment
A good understanding of encryption, security technologies and directory services such as host and corporate Firewalls, PKI, Certificates, LDAP, Kerberos etc.
Experience in the administration of large SAN environments, Disk to Disk and tape backup technologies
Ability to approach complex technical issues and problems in an analytical and methodical manner
In addition to the above, it would be very beneficial to have experience/some knowledge in the following as well:
Experience with Virtualisation technologies such as VMware etc.
Previous experience in large Oracle database environments
Good project planning skills with the ability to deliver initiatives and project activities on time and within budget
As with all client facing roles, it's expected that you will have exceptional communications skills both written and oral.
