Senior Project Manager - IT Governance

Summary:

An exciting opportunity to be part of a new Project Management Center of Excellence. The Project Manager of IT Governance will be responsible for monitoring the governance of the PMO office projects.  There are over 140 projects that the client is working on and this role will start with an assessment of 6 of these projects and will establish the IT governance framework going forward (Processes, Methodologies, Tools, Reporting, Mitigation). The successful candidate is a self-starter that is customer service and solutions oriented. Our client supports more productive farming through a full line of tractors, combines, hay tools, sprayers, forage equipment, tillage, implements, grain storage and protein production systems, as well as related replacement parts. As an $8 billion dollar company, they are a global leader focused on the design, manufacture and distribution of agricultural machinery.

This is a contract to hire opportunity in Duluth.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit current and future IT projects to ensure consistent use of methodologies, tools and processes
  • Assist project owners to mitigate projects that are "at risk"
  • Develop the overall strategy for successfully managing the project to completion
  • Work with global, virtual teams to define functional and technical requirements
  • Manage the project's plan utilizing "best practices" and core templates provided by the client
  • Provide ongoing customer service and creative solutions to the business for optimal satisfaction
  • Be the change agent to drive change in the areas impacted by the project

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management (PMP preferred)
  • 2+ years of IT project audit
  • 2+ years of experience leading global, cross-functional teams  
  • Establish and maintain a team environment being focused on common objectives through:
  • Strong negotiation, teamwork, problem solving and relationship management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and fact-based mindset
  • The promotion of flexibility and teams/individuals, being open to embracing change
  • This environment requires a strong leadership personality with an integrative approach
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey implementation plans, project progress, and provide program updates to a variety of internal audiences.
  • BA degree (Master's preferred)
