I am currently working with large consultancy that specialise in On and Offshore projects within the Oil and Gas and Renewable Energy sectors. The company specialise in large cable installations both on and offshore.The client are currently looking to recruit for Cable Project Manager role for a 5 month contract for cable maintenance work. If this initial work is successful this could lead to a further 3 year contract.
The role will be based in Cambridge and will involve travel to the sites in the Middle East.
The role will predominantly be involved with the maintenance of power cables for projects with the Renewable Energy and Oil and Gas markets.
The client are looking for someone that fully comprehends the installation, recovery, maintenance and relay of offshore composite cables as the candidate will have to liaise closely with our clients and be capable of offering detailed advice when necessary.
Accordingly, any prospective candidate should have some marine knowledge along with a working knowledge of cable recoveries and burial methods. An understanding of jointing methods and testing would also be advantageous.
The client are looking for candidates to Start ASAP and have said that if suitable candidates are available then they can conduct interviews this week. The client do not have a formal job spec for the role as it has come about at short notice, however, I am able to give further details if you have relevant experience.
