Description

Objective: To maximize the present and future value of the bank's Information Systems and Applications.

Tasks:

Define and roll-out the Permanent Design Documentation strategy & governance; monitor its execution by the delivery teams;
Create & maintain architectural guidelines (eg. Data Architecture, Application Design, choice and usage of technical platforms) that ensure a gradual alignment of the bank's software assets to the strategic directions; support the Delivery teams in their application;
Create & maintain architecture blueprints;
Shape the IT solution outline for new initiatives (during Project Definition phase) that comply with architecture guidelines & strategic directions (blueprints, technology plans) and where possible, embed complexity reduction opportunities;
Validate the relevant project or maintenance deliverables (eg. High Level Design) to ensure the implementation remains aligned to the agreed IT solution outline;
Pro-actively manage complexity & cost;
Facilitate the innovation approach the Applications team to deliver value to both IT and the business
Manage the community of Application Domain Owners and Application Owners.

Skills/Experience:

- you have worked for more than 10 years in the IT industry with at least 5 years in the financial sector.
- you will have worked as lead technical application architect/integration architect on large projects (more than mandays) related to core transactional applications in the financial IT sector.
- you must be knowledgeable about the business of a Centralised Securities Depositary (CSD) eg. any one of Clearstream, Euroclear, LCH, investment banks or central banks etc) will be a plus.
- z/OS, Windows, Unix, Tandem HP NonStop, WebSphere MQ, DB2, CICS, sysplex, Cognos, CA7, PLI, .Net, Connect:Direct, SWIFT;
- some experience in production support and intervention.
- you can tackle autonomously all types of architectural analysis and provide global and pragmatic recommendations.
- Problem-solving: you demonstrate strong analytical skills
- Communication and influencing: you are able to effectively communicate and support your recommendations to projects teams and senior management of the company.
