Embedded Software Engineer -North Yorkshire- £30-35 p/h
(Embedded Software, Embedded C, C, C#, VB, PC, Agile, Test, PLC's)
I have an urgent project requirement for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong Embedded C and C# skills to work on a 12 month contract for a worldwide organisation who have an innovative product range.
The client develops products used within a variety of niche markets which revolve around the detection of gases.
They are looking for organised, systematic, precise and process focused Embedded Software Engineer with strong problem solving skills. The successful Embedded Software Engineer will work on the development of new products, being specifically responsible for the Embedded firmware and PC based software, written in C and C# or C & VB.
Essential skills:
- Educated to degree level in a suitable discipline or with extensive relevant job experience.
- Experience of C and C# programming.
- Knowledge of Embedded systems design.
- Experience of coding to coding standards and the use of source control.
Although the main focus of the role is Embedded software development, some of the following skills would be an advantage, but are not essential:
- Experience in VB
- Experience of automated software test tools such as NUnit or CUnit.
- Experience of Agile software development
- Experience of programming PLC's.
- Experience designing and developing firmware to operate in electronic sub-assemblies
