Senior Electrical Engineer/£55-65 hr/North London
Able to perform a variety of electrical engineering work activities during the conceptual and design phases (Basic engineering and FEED) for petrochemical plant.
Responsibilities:
Perform detailed technical analysis of complex project issues. Arrive at sound and prudent decisions, course of action or a conclusion, especially when only limited facts are available. Solve problems quickly.
Work activities:
Collection and interpretation of engineering data, development of project design basis, development of specifications, and performance of engineering activities. Engineering Reports are often a work product.
Develop and/or contribute to the development of project deliverables including:-
Electrical procedures
Technical specifications
Conceptual design
Data sheets
Preparation of cost estimate input.
Qualifications/Competencies/Experience:
Must be able to demonstrate previous FEED experience.
Experience in the design from first principles of the electrical infrastructure associated with petrochemical plant.
Has ability to serve as an area technical lead, sharing expertise.
Must be able to demonstrate significant knowledge of European, American and International standards applicable to the petrochemical industry
Hazardous area requirements, DSEAR, ATEX, IEC 60079, API RP 500 & 505 and IP Part 15.
Chartered engineer preferred but not essential
