Computer Futures are looking for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to work for a key client based inSouthampton. You will be working on the Wintel based server technologies and be Customer focused and be able to actively manages customer expectations.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Knowledge transfer of technology expertise to team members and other teams
  • Manage incidents through to resolution.
  • Identification of improvements to 3rd Line support
  • Actively communicate status of work items to team members
  • Deal with problems and incidents in timely fashion
  • 3rd Line incident resolution within designed Service Levels
  • Good problem management skills, involvement in 3rd line problem resolution in the Wintel estate.
  • Involved in proactive server maintenance.


Key Skills:
  • Excellent understanding of Windows Operating Systems
  • MCSE / MCITP preferred
  • Active Directory management
  • Expertise in IBM Intel server technology
  • In depth knowledge and high degree of experience of VMware technologies.
  • Experience in Clustering technologies particularly VERITAS.
  • Experience supporting SCOM
  • Awareness of Storage Technologies: SAN; Netbackup
  • Working knowledge Web Technologies: IIS with good understanding of Web Proxy Solutions, ISA, TMG Cloud Based.
  • Excellent understanding and demonstrable experience of MS Exchange
  • High degree of experience in TCP/IP; DNS and Wins
