Our Client a Global Engineering services company are seeking 4-5 Test Engineers(Mechanical/Hydraulics) to work in the Aerospace Industry.

Mechanical/Vibrational/Hydraulic Strength, Fatigue testing' and Hot and Cold testing

1. Have you previously carried out qualification/Certification testing?
2. Have you produced qualification/certification test reports?
3. Have you produced qualification/certification test schedules?
4. Are you proficient in working with your hands to set up and run qualification/certification tests?
5. Have you been involved in investigation of test incidents/failures?

Role summary:
A key contributor to the generation of Verification test evidence demonstrating compliance to our customer requirements. The Development Engineer is responsible for setting up and carrying out Development and Qualification testing in accordance with approved test procedures. All equipment used shall be suitable for the application, correctly calibrated and safe. Ability to follow test procedures explicitly, record and analyse data is a key function of the role.

Working within a multi-disciplined team the Development Engineer must be pro-active, resourceful and dedicated to meeting programme commitments.

Basic Qualifications

  • Good appreciation of EH & S requirements in the workplace
  • ONC/HNC qualified in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Good practical knowledge and understanding of hydro-mechanical engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of electrical, electro-mechanical and electronics would be beneficial.
  • Proven capability in development and qualification testing.
  • Proven capability of technical problem resolution.
  • Proven ability in understanding aerospace test specifications.
  • Proven ability to define engineering test fixtures and instrumentation required to successfully perform Qualification tests.
  • Operates with the highest level of personal integrity.
  • Computer literate; familiar with general PC software (eg Windows, MS Office).
  • Flexible approach with willingness to work as part of a multi-disciplined tea
  • Calm under pressure and responsive to change
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Dynamic, resourceful and able to work using own initiative
