Position Title: Oracle Data Warehouse ETL Engineer
Location: Berkeley CA 94720
Work Type: W-2, C2C or 1099
Contact duration: 6months + (strong possibility of extension)
Highly skilled in:
Data warehouse design principles.
Oracle data structures
Oracle CDC technology
SQL (complex SQL queries, Analytical SQL), tuning strategies
PL/SQL Programming (we have highly complex business logic implemented as PL/SQL stored objects)
Oracle Performance tuning (using Oracle Wait interface, ASH/AWR, Generating and interpreting query execution plans)
ETL job design strategies and principles
Error handling and data reconciliation mechanisms
IBM DataStage Suite of tools (Designer, director)
Strong in:
UNIX Shell programming (our ETL processing relies on Shell Scripts)
Installation and configuration of IBM DataStage software in a UNIX/Linux environment.
Other desired skills:
IBM Cognos BI Platform (Specifically, Report Studio, Framework Manager, Transformer, MDX queries)
Tidal Scheduler software
