Job Description:
We are looking for coding assistance with our WordPress site running s2Member to allow for automated validation of newly registered users.

This website is designed to offer digital resources to owners of physical books – these books are musical theory textbooks, and we offer downloadable content to support the teaching of these in classrooms. Each book purchase entitles the user to access the relevant section of the website and download resources for that book.

Each physical book has a unique number printed inside; that number is what we use to validate the registration of new users. Each number fits within a band of valid numbers; if the number presented on registration is unique and valid, the registration is allowed. We are currently manually validating these numbers before activating memberships.

What we require:
Assistance from a developer familiar with s2Member to help develop the following two main workflows:

New registration:

New user registers on the site

New user can enter one or more unique numbers

Numbers are then validated

User is granted s2Member custom capabilities to allow access to appropriate areas of the website

Appropriate notification emails are sent to users and administrators

Changed registration:

User can add new book numbers to their profile

Numbers are then validated

User is granted additional s2Member custom capabilities to allow access to new areas of the website

Appropriate notification emails are sent to users and administrators

All of our content areas are controlled using s2Member’s Custom Capabilities function.
