Hyphen have a fantastic opportunity to work for a large blue chip company in Crawley, West Sussex as an Overhead Analyst on a 6 month contract.
Duties:
- Perform monthly overhead reviews with Department Managers
- Ensure control of overhead costs, comparisons between actual and budget, identifying and analysing anomalies
- Responsibility for month end overheads
- Challenge Managers with regard to Overhead performance against targets
- Escalate risks and opportunities
- Fully support the annual budget process for the cost centres and business teams
- Provide re-forecasts of overheads
- Assist in the implementation of IT tools and reporting techniques
- Liaise with Internal & External Auditors
- Provide full support to the Overhead Controller for month end overheads
Essential Shills/Experience:
- Demonstrable experience in a broad range of management accounting experience in a multi-domain environment
- Experience of Overheads Accounting
- Strong analytical skills, a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Solid Excel, financial modelling skills
- Excellent communicator and relationship building skills
Desirable:
- Part qualified/qualified ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
- Exposure to ERP systems such as Oracle would be advantageous
- Able to work to tight deadlines both as part of a team and individually
- Able to deal with all levels of customer from Directors to colleagues
