Mechanical Design Engineer - Medical Devices

An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading European healthcare company working on the design and development of Medical Devices. The Mechanical Engineer will be joining the Research & Development team, working on a wide range of medical products from initial research through to final production.

Skills and background required:

*Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering
*Experience of all aspects of design using 3D CAD (Solidworks preferred) is essential, as is the design of plastic (including injection parts) and sheet metal components.
*A practical background working on new product design as well as a wide range of manufacturing processes
*knowledge of engineering data set up (BOMs/Routings) in Enterprise Resource Planning systems would be useful
*A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
*A background in Medical Devices but will consider candidates from safety critical related industries
