Systems Support Engineer

My client are currently looking for strong System Support Engineers to join their team on a 3 month rolling contract, this role is to be based on The Isle of Man. This is an immediate start for the correct candidate and it would be a one stage interview process.

All candidates must be willing to undertake a CRB if they do not already hold a valid one and if not living currently on the Isle of Man must be willing to complete the necessary documents to allow them to work there.  

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide day to day BAU technical support to 400 users and 150 virtual Servers. 
  • Provide 1st class Desk side and Server Side support to all the companies systems (HP/Windows OS ).
  • Provide technical support and daily monitoring for Disaster Recovery.
  • Provide business critical On-Call support through the On-Call Rota.

Key Experience/Skills:

  • Microsoft Windows operating systems (XP & 7)
  • Microsoft Windows Server R2
  • Microsoft Exchange Server administration
  • Active Directory and Networking skills
  • Microsoft Office
  • Tape backup systems, in particular Symantec Backup Exec 2010
  • Virtualization technologies VMware, Citrix XenApp
  • EMC SAN technologies
  • Hold Microsoft certifications is any of the following, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDST, MCITP.
