The Role:
Only the most innovative and competitive IT engineers work for this international player, where the hardware always has to operate at a maximum speed and availability in order not to lose any time and opportunities to make money. In this role, you will have a substantial level of freedom to make decisions when it comes to the way the infrastructure should look and operate, as long as this means that systems are operating at maximum capacity.
- You will be the first contact to the business, meaning 3rd line support
- You will be doing projects to focus on improvements in existing infrastructure. You have the ability to immediately notice where structural changes are needed and the speed to implement these changes as soon as possible.
- You are a person that is perfectly capable of working in a volatile, mission-critical and super demanding (but at the same time challenging) working environment.
Your Profile:
Have a BSc in computing science or equivalent
- have a minimum of 4 years working experience in a complex UNIX environment (100+ servers) - Linux, Sun Solaris, RedHat, Debian
- preferably have thorough working experience in the dealing room of a financial company
- have good knowledge of Windows systems
- have strong problem-solving skills and have an analytical mindset
- are client service oriented
