Publishers Clearing House (PCH), headquartered in Port Washington, NY, is a multi-channel direct marketer of value based merchandise, magazines and promotional offers and a leading provider of digital “play and win” entertainment.
PCH is currently seeking contract web designers to support our initiative to convert emails to responsive builds and the initiative to develop mobile versions of all landing pages.
- Responsive builds: This individual will be responsible for developing new versions of prior creative, conducting independent render tests, and collaborating with our Operations team to ensure that all new emails are optimized for deployment. This individual will be provided with the overall layout scheme required for the new email, however, they will be required to utilize their best judgment along with their coding and troubleshooting skills in order to develop a responsive email that is ready for deployment.

Mobile Landing Pages: This individual will be responsible for developing new versions of prior creative, conducting independent browser tests for new pages, and collaborating with our UI Development and Operations teams to ensure that all packages have been optimized for deployment. This individual will work with the UI Dev and Copywriting teams to determine the layout required for new mobile landing pages. They will utilize their best judgment along with their coding and troubleshooting skills to develop mobile versions of prior desktop landing pages. He or she will then combine both the desktop and mobile elements into one package deliverable for the Operations team.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Strong HTML / CSS coding skills
- Ability to create hand-written code is required
- 5 years of experience with HTML / CSS
- Experience working with table based layouts for emails is a must
- Prior experience developing responsive emails is critical
- Familiarity with "Email on Acid" or "Litmus" email rendering test sites is preferred
- 3-5 years of intermediate proficiency with Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator
