Our Client are a leading Industrial Service Supplier to the UK Process, Petrochemical and Power Industries. They are committed to delivering the most appropriate, long term engineering solutions for their customers businesses.They are now recruiting for a Mechanical & Civil Lead Engineer. You will be responsible for the day to day line management of a team of Mechanical and Civil Engineers, Designers and other technical support staff ensuring design is delivered in a safe, cost effective and timely manner in compliance with the company's quality management system. You will be expected to support all design activities within the Mechanical and Civil design department including interfaces with all related disciplines, project management team, and planning and cost control function
The ideal Candidate will have at least;
>Minimum of 15 years' experience on Mechanical/Civil design and detail
>Minimum of 5 years' experience leading a design office function
>Good general Industry experience in Chem / Petro Chem / Oil and Gas
>Good on-site technical and practical Civil / Mechanical knowledge
>Excellent knowledge across all areas of mechanical design and good knowledge of civil design
>Experience of engineering within the Process/Petrochem sector
>Good working knowledge of CDM (2007) Regulations and implementation within design office environment
>Expertise in PED, ATEX, DSEAR, SIS, and other directives applicable to mechanical engineering
>Full understanding and experience in Hazard Study
>Experience of Stress Analysis / FEA
>Experience of 3D integrated design software packages
>Experience of safely engineering Projects/Activities on brownfield sites.
>Has worked with limited process data to produce final mechanical data sheets/specifications.
>Experience of using general PC basic software packages, e.g., MS Office, etc.
