You will be responsible for:
In this position you will play a key role providing technical, analytical and reporting support to the Financial Crime unit within the bank.
Anti-Money Laundering rules based development on Norkom Scenario Manager application
o Working with the Financial Crime (FC) team to identify trends to monitor, generating sample data direct from Data Warehouse for FC to review, testing and subsequent implementation on Norkom.
o Amending AML thresholds/criteria for existing detection scenarios.
o All data analysis requests relating to the outputs from the AML detection scenarios.
o Determining where amendments to the Norkom Scenario Manager views are required and implementing these.
AML and Fraud Data analysis requests (using data from EDW and/or NORKOM and/or)
o Work with business to define queries in line with business requirements and generate results in user friendly format.
Developing new and running existing weekly, monthly and quarterly reports.
Issue investigation
o Investigation into issues to determine root cause; these issues may be caused by system error or data issues and will require collaboration with the business and IT teams which support the Norkom application.
General Requirements:
Proficient in Teradata SQL
Good working knowledge of BRIO and Excel.
Aptitude to work on systems other than the Data Warehouse (ie UNIX based system, Oracle database) (no previous knowledge required).
Minimum 5 years Teradata SQL experience
Ability to develop, maintain and enhance the relationship with business areas and financial crime area to ensure effective two way communication at all times both verbal and written.
Ability to provide accurate delivery times and dates and ensure all requests are completed within agreed timeframes.
Strong attention to detail particularly in the area of testing, developing, documenting and implementing test plans.
Innovative approach to problem solving.
Self motivated - ability to manage own workload.
