Systems Analyst - London - £35,000-£40,000 + excellent package - Immediate Start
Working within the IT department, providing support to the main business application ERP for users at head office, warehouse and stores, as well as helping to drive new systems into the business.

Main Responsibilities

Receives and records user requests, provides or arranges for technical support, determines and initiates monitoring and testing requirements, provides or assists with quality assurance tasks, and interfaces with personnel from other departments and software providers.

Key Duties
  • Assist support desk with second and third line calls from users and queries regarding ERP, reporting and interface issues as required.
  • Group incidents into problems, investigate, and liaise with software providers to supply fixes if required.
  • Troubleshoots applications and provides workarounds and quick fixes as appropriate.
  • Deals directly with users to identify existing and potential problems with current usage of system, answers questions, and provides technical support and/or training.
  • Analyses incidents to highlight areas where more in-house training is required.
  • Assists in developing test suites and procedures for testing applications and software releases, documenting where necessary.
  • Creating/updating/supporting reports using SQL, and VBA for Microsoft Excel, for users where similar reports are not available in exisiting systems.
  • Assists in developing and supporting new and existing interfaces between core ERP and other applications
  • Assists in setup/installation of hardware and peripherals necessary for the functionality of the supported software.
  • Provide out of hours support on a rotational basis with other members of the department.


Essential Experience
  • A minimum of three years' experience offering a similar level of support in a retail head office environment.
  • A solid understanding of retail business processes across all areas of the supply chain.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percents, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
  • Ability to write programs and procedures in SQL and Visual Basic for Applications.
  • Familiar with Oracle database design and implementation, and Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, Word).
