My Client is a Global IT Vendor - offices based in Johannesburg.They are looking for a UNIX/Linux System Administrator, with a focus on Security and Compliance to work on a contract basis (start ASAP).
You will have a skill set that matches the following:
Candidates should have a minimum of 5+ years of experience working as a Linux SA, and be highly aware of best practices concerning Compliance and iSec.
Experience will have been gained across planning, design, configuration, installation, troubleshooting, security management, storage and maintenance.
You should be skilled in applying fixes and patches, as well as technically able with a strong Scripting knowledge.
Other notable exposure would include supporting multiple operating environments, Datamodelling, running databases on virtual environments/platforms, configuring and also installing and maintaining RAC implementations.
Preference will be for those that have relevant industry experience from a Telecommunications environment and for those based in South Africa.
