Description
Our group within the MIT Dept. of Brain and Cognitive Sciences is creating a cloud service for neuroscience, centered on machine learning algorithms for drug screening and basic research. We want to give scientists everywhere access to new, state-of-the-art automation tools, via an intuitive web platform. Widespread automation is potentially revolutionary for our field – our goal is to build a service that will have a broad impact on neuroscience. We’re seeking an experienced UI designer to help us create a user interface that enables seamless visualization, analysis and sharing of datasets. A rich, interactive UI is at the heart of our service: we’re trying to make complex tasks, such as annotation and visualization of data, simple and beautiful for the scientific user.
We need someone who can define a unique look and feel for the service. Visual design is the focus, including graphical assets as well as wireframes and a style guide. Use any tools you’d like (Photoshop, Fireworks, …).
We’re building a talented team around a great service that has the potential to impact the way neuroscience is done. Work arrangements (including telecommute) are flexible and compensation is competitive.
