Clearance: SC. It would be beneficial if you already hold the clearance.

Background

The post holder will be responsible for supporting senior managers across Infrastructure, which is responsibility for purchasing and supporting a wide variety of equipment, including: flexible airfield and road surfacing, tented camps, air conditioning units, cooksets, incinerators, mortuaries, drug storage, Tactical Base Ablution Units and temporary aircraft/storage accommodation. Given the breath of portfolio the successful applicant will support a number of people across the wider project team. A flexible approach with a good numerical and written work is essential.

Experience Needed:
A working knowledge of SS3 (Land Equipment stock supply system) would be beneficial.
Support in the production and maintenance of key documentation such as the Through Life Management Plans (TLMPs) and Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP).
Knowledge of the equipment, especially from an engineering perspective, would be helpful.

Secondary:
Maintaining asset management information eg GEMS, JAMES.
Maintaining the Safety Case, Hazard logs, participating in all relevant safety panels and ensuring all DE&S actions are resolved to agreed timelines.
Support obsolescence management.
Support change and configuration management.
Support development of ILS Plans.

Main Duties/Responsibilities

The post holder will have the following primary and secondary areas of responsibility:

Primary:

  Support delivery of Engineering Survey Equipment (ESE). This will involve helping the Senior Output Manager:

o Maintain the fleet.

o Maintain project issues/risks/opportunities.

o Review and amend publications including AESPs and technical specifications.

o Arranging and progressing repairs and associated payments. The Senior Output Manager will authorise repairs.
