Duties

* Establish schedules for manufacturing involving the production of customer orders, sub-assemblies, stock orders, work-in-process and inter-company transfer orders.
* Monitor daily inventories. Track progress of production and review factors that affect schedules.
* Make necessary modifications to schedule to ensure achievement of on-time delivery goals.
* Use ERP system to review sales orders, MRP schedules, dispatch reports, and capacity requirements. Ensure that all new products or product changes are set up correctly in the materials modules of the ERP system.
* Communicate and work with Operations, Sales, Purchasing and Finance to meet business goals.
* Work with international distribution centers to establish inventory replenishment targets.
* Continuously improve Master Schedule programs to incorporate best practices and adjust accordingly to the changing marketplace.
* Lead weekly planning meeting to establish ship projections and provide forum for problem resolution.
* Prepare production reports by compiling production rates and progress, materials inventories, materials used, and customer information.

QualificationsThis position requires a Bachelor's degree and five years experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform at this level. APICS certification and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred. Also required are:

* High proficiency in data analysis, including report writing, Word, Excel and Power Point.
* Proven track record of successful planning, scheduling and management and control of the planning/scheduling function, including MRP programs.
* Ability to work in a team environment and work effectively with all levels of management.
* Ability to solve problems, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
* Effective oral and written communication skills required. Appropriate business demeanor under high pressure and often short deadlines.
