Description
Looking for a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer for my client in Menlo Park. This position is on a contract basis for an intitial 8-9 months basis.Responsibilities:
- Drives improvement and corrective action in the Quality of Components sourced from outside suppliers.
- Provides technical support in the selection of suppliers.
- Monitors supplier performance to srive supplier corrective action, manufacturing yield issues and field failures.
- responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures
- Assess potential new suppliers for technical, quality and manufacturing capabilities.
- Generates and maintains incoming inspection procedures. Trains inspectors to these procedures.
- Develops/ Sources inspection tools and equipment.
- Assists in generating component specifications
- Generate test protocols, monitor testing, issue qualification test reports and approve components for usw in products.
Necessary Skills:
- Experience with supplier capability Measurement techniques with incoming/ receiving inspection supplier evaluations and relationships.
- Medical Device industry experience
- Technical Engineering background
- Effective communication skills.
Education:
- BS in Engineering or other relevant scientific feild plus 9 years of related work experience
- Masters degree adn 2 years experience
