Financial Analyst - Motherwell
General accounting analyst role working in a team responsible for the financial reporting of multiple legal entities across EMEA. The role is focused on delivering both daily operational activities as well as developing enhancements to current processes.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role are:
- Ensuring controls are in place to effectively manage month end reporting with the use of a co-source partner, based in India.
- Active management of remote team who carry out the transactional data on CoTA's behalf.
- Provide financial reports, analysis, explanations and advice to SBU finance teams based on knowledge of financial information, relevant GAAP and supporting SAP systems.
- Fully manage and support the month end close routine, ensuring financial results are reported per the month end deadlines.
- Initiate and review GL entries to ensure integrity of all transactions and resolve any query items.
- Reduce exceptions through root cause analysis and implementation of solutions.
- Ensure all fixed asset transactions and master data are correctly recorded and maintained by the co-source partner, including asset lives and depreciation.
- Focus on relevant metrics and develop action plans based on metric outcome.
- Host improvement meetings and drive improvement on identified issues within area of responsibility.
- Participate in external and internal audits.

- Be a strong communicator on all levels and has strong technical skills.
- Have a good Financial background
- Be comfortable working with multiple Currencies and Balance Sheets
- Have good interpersonal skills
- Be able to Multi-Task
- Be quick-thinking
- Have SAP knowledge
- Have own transport
