Client:
Our client a leading a financial organisation requires a number of Contract PL/1 A/P for 6 - 12 month roles in Dublin.
Role.
- Analysis of business requirements to produce detailed functional specifications.
- Research and analysis of existing software components and business processes.
- Analysis and design of changes for existing PL/1 software components.
- Analysis and design for new Mainframe software components.
- Completion of Technical specifications.
- Ensuring relevant documentation is completed and maintained.
- Developing and Unit testing PL/1 components. Integration testing.
- Support of test teams during test phases of project. Assisting in preparation and implementation of live system upgrades.
- Candidates experience will preferably include some design/development in retail banking environments.
- Development experience in IMS/DB2.
- Changeman Tablebase File/Aid ISPF
Responsibilities:
- Translation of Functional specifications into technical specifications.
- Requirement to fully document all unit testing activity undertaken and the necessary documentation to allow handover of the change to the test environment.
- Ensure all project tasks are completed as per SDLC methodology.
- Supporting execution of System Testing and User Acceptance Testing.
- Implementing solutions to the live environment adhering strictly to standards.
- Provide progress reports to team management as requested.
Skills & Requirements:
- Up to date experience in PL/1.
- Experience in DB2 and IMS.
- Must be fully competent in interpreting requirements and designing, unit testing and developing robust solutions.
- Must have comprehensive expertise in a software development life cycle.
