Computer Futures are looking for a IT/ Commercial Director to join a key client based in the Wiltshire area. Please see below a list of what will be your main duties and responsibilities.Job Description
- Maintain the integrity and continual operation of the mission critical IT network including - Managing servers, security solutions, network hardware and equipment with support from the IT support technician
- Provide expertise and support during system upgrades, installations, conversions and file maintenance
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures, including those for system design, security, disaster recovery, and internal services.
- Attend pre-sales meetings and provide support and assistance to sales for RFI's and tenders.
Key Responsibilities
- Take the lead with IT strategy and project planning based around business objectives
- Be responsible for the day to day IT budget and capital expenditure budget and requirements
- Manage the day to day IT operations of the business covering the 4 business channels.
- Oversee the Data Migration team and provide support on projects as required
- Manage the IT staff including hiring, training and development, appraisal, guidance.
- Communicate regularly with the board via monthly meeting and report
- Develop and/or enhance standard operating procedures and best practices across the IT function
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of written documentation including system and user manuals, license agreements, software maintenance contract renewals
- Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business requirements
- Negotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer and consultants contracts and service agreements with support from the Financial Director
